COXSWAIN COURSE AND RESCUE BOATS OTHER THAN FAST BOATS COURSE

Course Duration                                 40 hours

The candidate must :

• be 18 years of age
• be medically fit, both physically and mentally.
• have successfully completed the Medical First Aid course and Safety of Personnel on Offshore Platforms.
• have at least 6 months of approved sea-service

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The course has been designed to provide the following training:

Achieving necessary proficiency in and competency for:

• Being prepared, boarding, launching rescue boats regarding their limited equipment.
• Taking appropriate actions after abandoning platform to reduce dangers.
• Managing rescue boat and the people on board regarding the present and climatic conditions.
